It’s no secret that we all love watching videos on our smartphones. Whether it’s a funny clip from YouTube, a tutorial on how to do something, or just a cute cat video, we can all attest to the fact that videos are a great way to pass the time.
However, there is one slight problem with watching videos on our phones: they can take up a lot of space. This is especially true if you like to save videos for later or if you have a lot of videos that you watch regularly.
If you’re someone who loves to watch videos but doesn’t want to sacrifice storage space on your phone, then this guide is for you. Here, we’ll show you how to save long videos to “My Eyes Only” on your iPhone.
Before we get started, it’s important to note that this method will only work with videos that are longer than 15 seconds. If the video you want to save is shorter than that, then you can just save it to your Camera Roll like normal.
With that said, let’s get started!
Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone and scroll down to the “Photos” section.
Step 2: Tap on the “Camera Roll” tab and then scroll down to the bottom and select “My Eyes Only.”
Step 3: Enter a passcode that you’ll remember. This passcode is necessary to access the “My Eyes Only” section, so make sure it’s something you can remember.
Step 4: Once you’ve entered a passcode, you’ll see a new “My Eyes Only” section in the “Camera Roll” tab.
Step 5: To add a video to “My Eyes Only,” simply select the video from your “Camera Roll” and tap the “Share” button.
Step 6: From the share sheet, select “Save to My Eyes Only.”
Step 7: The video will now be saved to the “My Eyes Only” section of your “Camera Roll.”
That’s all there is to it! Now, whenever you want to watch a video that you’ve saved to “My Eyes Only,” simply launch the Settings app, go to the “Photos” section, and select the “My Eyes Only” tab. Enter your passcode and you’ll be able to watch your video.
As you can see, this is a great way to save space on your iPhone while still being able to watch all of the videos you want. So, the next time you come across a long video that you want to watch but don’t want to save to your “Camera Roll,” remember this guide and save it to “My Eyes Only” instead.
